Kathryn Lewis, Harpist

Kathryn Lewis is a professional harpist based in the Midlands, specialising in weddings and other formal occasions.

Why the harp?

With its elegant appearance, sublime sound and sheer presence, the harp is a wonderful choice for special events, creating an atmosphere without ever imposing, and lending itself to a wide range of music.

The music

Kathryn plays mostly classical music – some harp arrangements of well-known pieces and music written specifically for the harp – as well as popular favourites.  Visit the music list page to see a selection of pieces and to listen to some sound clips.

Kathryn also plays traditional pieces from around the UK.  Originally from South Wales, she also specialises in St David’s Day events, playing traditional Welsh music for Welsh societies across England.

Where she plays

Kathryn regularly plays at the region’s most prestigious venues including Breadsall Priory, Sandon Hall, Ramada Jarvis Newton Park, Ringwood Hall, Makeney Hall, Weston Park, and she played at the first wedding at Stafford County Buildings.  She has completed a residency at the Hilton at Luosto in Finland.

Kathryn is also harpist in residence at the Manor at Hanchurch.

Visit the news and events page for details of forthcoming opportunities to hear Kathryn play and updates on her current projects, including the Falling Angels project.
